The Church of Climate is a site designed to inspire people to take action against climate change. It’s based around one simple idea: “Without action, there is no hope. Without hope, it’s hard to take action.” The site needed to be simple and reducing bounce rate was a priority. That means we wanted to avoid someone landing on the site and being overwhelmed or confused. To avoid this, the front page features a simple statement and only one choice: do you need hope, or are you looking for something concrete to do today?
Deschutes Estuary Restoration Team
DERT is a non-profit located in Olympia, working on restoring the natural water flow and estuary that passes through the capital of our state. I first encountered them when researching an environmental issue, and reached out due to some issues on the site. I was able to help them recover control of their online materials, and together we updated and designed the site to better serve their needs.
Bank Innovators Council
BIC was a quick proof of concept site for an existing client. We stood the site up at minimal cost, knowing it would be short lived. The entire goal was a professional clean site at low cost, very quickly.
Dugualla Bay
Dugualla Bay had an outdated HTML site they needed to replace. A member of their board had worked with me on a previous project, and reached out with an aggressive goal: They had an annual board meeting in just over a month and wanted to get a new site up and running prior to that meeting. We were able to build and launch a redesigned WordPress site using available photography and content more than a week before the meeting, for less than the estimated budget.
